ICU Visitors
Mercy ICU recognizes the importance of family and friends in a patient's healing process. Visiting in our ICU occurs 24 hours a day with the following exceptions:
- Due to the intensity of the care provided we ask that visits be limited to 2 family members or designated friends for up to 15 minutes at a time.
- We ask that you not visit during change of shift in the morning and evening to allow the nurses time to provide a thorough report to the oncoming shift.
- We ask that you please limit the visits of small children to a few minutes.
- You may be asked to step out, or wait a few minutes to visit while a procedure or emergency is occurring in the ICU.
We welcome you to our ICU, and recognize that we are the "visitors" in your loved ones life.
