Helpful Tips
A special note to patients and visitors:
Mercy Hospitals welcomes visitors. Your visits meant a lot to our patients and we encourage you to visit frequently. For your own health and safety as well as that of our patients and staff, we ask that you please note the following:
- For our patients health and yours, it is important that you wash your hands upon entering a patients room and when leaving a patients room. The patient sink may be used.
- Toilets in the patient bathroom are for patient use only.
- We encourage family visits, however, small children should be held by the hand for safety.
- Please get nursing approval prior to bringing any food from home for patient consumption. We ask this in order to prevent any food-drug interactions or possible complications with treatment.
- Some visitors may have special circumstances that do not enable them to follow our visiting hours policy. Special needs are considered a priority.
- People with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
- Visits should be kept short.
