Mercy has invested in the technology and training to conduct many surgical procedures related to the field of neurosurgery. An example is a surgical procedure called Kyphoplasty, which can repair up to 80 percent of a compression fracture of the thoracic (neck) or lumbar spine that is common with osteoporosis. Kyphoplasty is a low-risk procedure that often significantly relieves the patient's pain and restores function.
